Reckon Software Development Partners

Would you like to develop a product that integrates with, and complements, QuickBooks accounting software - a product that benefits QuickBooks customers? Then you have come to the right place. We offer a range of memberships to software developers to suit your business needs, with each giving you the tools to develop products that seamlessly integrate with QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise accounting software.

Becoming a Reckon Software Development Partner provides you with the QuickBooks Application Program Interface (API) - tools and documentation on how to share data with a QuickBooks data file. Transactional data is shared via a proprietary form of XML, facilitated by the API. This is made available upon approval of your application.

With this, you can then develop an application which enters transactions into QuickBooks accounting software, generates reports from existing data, or exports transactions for use by another application. It also allows you to create menu items and other Graphical User Interface (GUI) controls. Whether you're developing a one-off application for a particular client, or an application that we help you market to all QuickBooks users, there's a membership for you, with pricing from as little as $199 pa.

11. Is there any integration documentation available?

Full Australian documentation is available to current Reckon Software Developers Program and Reckon Software Developers Kit members. 13. Is it possible to obtain a single user licence rather than being required to purchase a full version of QuickBooks?

You are not required to purchase a full version. Developers Kit and Developers Progam Memberships  include an annual subscription to the 5 licence QuickBooks Premier. Limitations are discussed in the documentation available from Intuit and the AU SDK documentation.

15. Intuit in the US has just released SDK 6.0. Will it work with my coding and will I need it for QuickBooks 2007/08?
