Acquisition of Shelco Business
Reckon Limited announced that effective from 1st March 2007 it will acquire the Shelco business, technology and customer base from Shelco DataBroker Pty Limited and Shelco Services Pty Limited.

The Shelco business presently comprises two main revenue streams, services and data. The Services business comprises the technology and established client base for the registration of companies and other business structures using the traditional full service method. This business also provides clients with an immediate online company registration service available outside of standard operating hours. Reckon Limited announced that with effective from 1st March 2007 it will acquire the “Intrepid” business from Intrepid Internet Solutions Pty Limited as well as the business of its New Zealand distributor, Rafael Technology Pty Limited.

The transaction forms part of an expansion of the product suite Reckon will distribute as well as a rationalisation of its existing licensing arrangement with its Quicken sub-distributor in New Zealand.

New Products

The Reckon product suite will be expanded by the acquisition of the technology for the IBankData; IPayroll; and IBackup solutions.

• IBankData Business is an online service enabling the importing and coding of transactions directly and seamlessly into QuickBooks from internet bank statements.
• IBankData Professional is an online service which enables accountants to collect and process customers’ financial transactions directly from banks.
• IPayroll is a flexible and cost effective online payroll system.
• IBackup is an online storage application that allows users to safely and securely store files on a server that are accessible at any time.Read more...
